LONDON, 21st October 2026. Avvoka, the document drafting platform for law firms and in-house legal teams, today announced a delivery partnership with Telon, the AI-native activation partner for legal and contracting AI platforms. Together they give firms a complete way to drive value from legal technology, particularly where a firm or practice lacks the bandwidth or capacity to build for every practice group. Telon works with firm teams to create their gold-standard precedent: collating the firm's best work, ordering it and refining it on Avvoka. That gold-standard anchors AI tools with the firm's own guardrails to draft from, powering document automation and improving accuracy while retaining the pace of AI.

Key points

  • Avvoka now offers law firms a complete route to get started with AI drafting and document automation, with Telon as its delivery partner.

  • Telon's Forward Deployed Lawyers and Legal AI Engineers work with practice groups to collate their best work, order it and refine it into a gold-standard precedent, using Avvoka's newly released Curate product.

  • That template can be used directly by the firm as a Word document and gives AI tools the context to draft in the firm's own wording and powers document automation through Avvoka’s platform.

  • Unlocking the advantages of document automation is now easier too. Avvoka’s ‘headless templating’ enables editing directly within AI drafting tools.

  • The partnership is available to Avvoka law firm clients of all sizes in the US, the UK and internationally.

A firm's drafting technology becomes far more valuable once the firm has codified its judgement: a clear view of its best work, with the clauses it has won and the wording it trusts. Precedents are how that judgement is captured. Avvoka – through its new product Curate - helps lawyers to create them, then automate documents from them. The company’s integrations with Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Harvey and Legora, then allow lawyers to draw on those precedents from inside the AI tools they already use, so the AI drafts from the firm's own standard rather than from general knowledge.

Firms are typically reliant on Knowledge Management teams to build precedents. Avvoka developed Curate to accelerate that work: it reads the documents a firm uploads and finds similar clauses across them, so a lawyer can compare, select and codify the wording the firm stands behind.

A lawyer can use Curate directly. But in firms and practices without a dedicated knowledge function, the lawyers best placed to build precedents are also the ones doing the client work, so production still depends on the time they can spare. The partnership with Telon removes that bottleneck. Telon's Forward Deployed Lawyers are true experts who sit with the practice group and encode its best work into precedents in Curate. Its Legal AI Engineers build the agents and workflows that draw on those precedents and keep them current as the technology ships.

Telon launched in June 2026. Its Forward Deployed Lawyers, Legal AI Engineers and Forward Deployed Engineers take AI from idea to durable enterprise deployment for corporate legal teams, law firms and legal technology platforms. With law firms, it takes practice groups from broad but thin adoption to deep adoption that gives the firm a competitive advantage. Telon is platform-independent and an OpenAI and Claude Partner.

Putting the precedent to work is easier now too. Avvoka's headless templating lets an AI assistant such as Harvey, Legora or Claude do the set-up of a template straight from a Word precedent, with a lawyer reviewing and publishing to Avvoka’s template library. With Telon building the precedent in Curate, and headless templating making the automation step easier, a firm has a clear route from its best work to a gold-standard, and from that to a template for automated documents that can power AI drafting. Teams get up to speed sooner and draw more value from their legal technology, because the same template serves both.

"Everything we do starts with a firm's own judgement," said Eliot Benzecrit, Co-Founder of Avvoka. "Codifying it by building precedents from a firm's best work has always been at the heart of document automation and now it's become critical for quality AI drafting too. Creating a precedent is also the part that takes time. With Curate we've addressed that challenge and with Telon using it alongside firms we can offer a complete solution for teams who want the full value from their legal tech."

"Most firms have adopted AI. Few have turned it into competitive advantage yet," said Lewis Bretts, CEO and Co-Founder of Telon. "Adoption is broad but thin. Most lawyers have tried the tools, and few matters run differently because of them. A firm's own precedents change that, because they are what the tools draft from. Our Forward Deployed Lawyers and Legal AI Engineers build them in Curate with the practice group, so the innovation team is not left to do it for a thousand lawyers on its own."

The partnership builds on Avvoka, whose document automation software is used by almost a quarter of the Am Law 100.

Webinar: Grow your practice with automation and AI drafting

Avvoka and Telon are hosting a webinar on 5th November 2026 at 4 PM (GMT)/ 11 AM (ET) on what firms get once their best work is in templates: capacity to grow, and better margin on the work they already do. Eliot Benzecrit, Co-Founder of Avvoka and Lewis Bretts, CEO of Telon will show how Telon builds a firm's templates using Curate, what document automation does with them, and how the same templates give AI tools the firm's own standard to draft from. The session is aimed at partners, practice leaders and operations leads and is particularly suited to practice leads and mid-sized firms. It is open to any firm starting with automation or AI drafting. Register at https://avvoka.com/events/grow-your-practice
